I love my band. Uh. LEAH: And then we've reached the end. ROLAND: And at the end is the unknown. CLAIRE: Wow, that's deep. MARK: The unknown is a guy and he's like, slowly painting it.
HEATH: My English, ladies and gentlemen, is traditionally miserable.
ROLAND: It happens on Wednesday. And it happens in life, too. CLAIRE: I happen on Wednesday. MARK: You happen too much for my liking.
CLAIRE: Hee. Shotgun.
[we've been going on about how there's a random pedal sitting around for hours] LEAH: So the question remains. Whose pedal is it? ROLAND: It looks like mine, but I used mine last night, and it still works, so it’s not mine. LEAH: Also, you didn't bring one in. ROLAND: That, too.
CLAIRE: These lyrics are bizarre. I don't understand them. ROLAND: I think you wrote those, actually. CLAIRE: Oh! That explains everything.
MARK: I wouldn't be surprised if I found out Claire's boyfriend was behind that. CLAIRE: Behind traditionally miserable English? I don't think his is traditionally miserable, just occasionally when the right word comes out in the wrongt – MARK: No, I meant the building. CLAIRE: Building? MARK: The thing we've been talking about? CADY: ... we've been talking about a building? ROLAND: Wait, what? MARK: Guys, what have we been discussing for the last five minutes? CLAIRE: Ticket sales, some of which I admit my boyfriend was behi– CADY: I thought we were talking about lyrics. LEAH; Wasn't it Heath's bad English? MARK: I quit.
CLAIRE: It says something about the fact that it takes this long to find something simple like a guitar pick. ROLAND: That's not a guitar pick. CLAIRE: It's n–oh! Okay. Sorry, I think this is yours.
CADY: Wait, are you talking about the place that's being built down the road from Claire's? MARK: What, are you dumb or something?
LEAH: And this is how the musical department is organized. And by that I mean the department that makes musicals, as opposed to, like, the music department.
CLAIRE: So I'm thinking to myself – CADY: [sings] Oh, what a wonderful world ... CLAIRE: No. But close!
CADY: And did I mention someone brought a sustained pedal here and left it by accident? CLAIRE: No. LEAH: We haven't been talking about it all morning. MARK: How unfortunate. CADY: Mine won't work for the one who mistakenly took it home – ROLAND: Mine works! LEAH: That's nice.
CLAIRE: And the sun is bright, and it’s lit up the world, and everyone can see, and we’re alive – just like for a split second, there’s the sun, and everyone can see – MARK: That it’s really bright and it really, really hurts. ROLAND: That's beautiful. LEAH: We'll keep it.

So here I was, going on a bit about how things were improving, yadda yadda yadda, and I was set for a tentative release on November 2nd.
Then the network signal ate the majority of the post, and so I gave up, but I still think that saying "release on November 2" sounds like I'm in a prison instead of a hospital.
It isn't even a prison hospital.
It's kind of funny, though.

So, a lot of people are at setup for Festival, which isn't officially called that but that's what we've always called it.
And I think that everyone who isn't there already is going up tomorrow or Friday for the actual event because they're either second-tier volunteers or just kind of going.
Armand's staying with me, and so is Mom. Possibly also Dad, I'm not sure, but I'll miss everyone else.
I called Claire's phone while she was on the bus, at least, so there's that, and I can tell people wondering that they did make it to the site without dying, and that Claire wasn't the one driving when I called. | | Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 | | 1:11 pm |
( bored enough to survey )So that took ... oh, I don't want to do the math. But, in other news, I think the rain might have stopped. It's hard to tell. But yesterday it was pouring, and I heard parts of Long Island and Brooklyn flooded. Obligatory complaint: this IV really does itch. |
